The Stem Servers

Concept: The Stem Servers - Super servers of the future, using the concept of stem cells from plants to store data using the most tiniest fraction of memory space required by user. The process starts from users transfer the data into vegebio-sac. The sac will then be stored in the capiliaries of stem. These stems are stacked into a Stem Server.

Comic drafts: Parodies of local happenings

Comic drafts which was done for a pitch to client. This is the first pitch which was not accepted.
The stories were parodies of events happened not long ago in Singapore, see if you can recognise anyone of them.

365 Days of Sketches #116

365 Days of Sketches #116

Whenever we approach an artwork, we are often unsure of how we can fully appreciate and understand the meaning of it. This maybe embarrassing at times, especially if the artist is our own friend. I have found 3 questions that will probably be helpful to bring productive answers to the art.

1) What are you/the artist trying to achieve by creating this art?
2) Did he/she succeed?
3) Was it worth doing it?

Once we are able to obtain answers for the above question, we will be able to comprehen and appreciate the artwork better.
Hope this is helpful to you, feel free to let me know what are your ways to appreciate art of another artist or even your own. You can share your experiences in the comments below.

Thank you.

Floating Discs-Quantum Levitation

When I watch this, I was thinking of StarTrek, Star Wars, etc. Vehicles and ships that doesn't goes on four wheels nor limited by the contours of terrains and sea. Wonderful discovery and may probably solve lots of issues on modern transportation.

365 Days of Sketches #115

 365 Days of Sketches #115

Have you ever came to a point when you feel that you are not going anywhere with your artwork? I had those days. There was a time when I really wonder to myself whether am I really going anywhere just by painting. Then one day I learnt a very good idea. I think one of the things to take note when you paint is to set yourself a target. Everytime you paint, tell yourself that you will learn at least one thing from that painting. As long as you learn something everytime you paint, you will soon see growth in your brush strokes and artwork. Very soon, you will began to feel more confident about yourself and your skills. You will certainly find more ways to learn and to paint after that.

Feel free to leave a comment below and please let me know what you think. If you like what you see, then you would definitely like to visit my gallery at Society6/JoshLab.
